Stay Solid: Solid Coffee Roasters

Have you ever walked into a new coffee shop and thought to yourself, “Oh, I’m going to like you and I haven’t even tried your coffee”?

Although Solid Coffee Roasters’ brick and mortar shop has only been open for a little over a month, it’s definitely become the hottest new coffee shop. You’ll understand why as soon as you walk in the door – you’re instantly greeted by somebody who looks eager to make you the best drink you’ve ever had and the decor is bright and minimalistic with succulents on each table to add a pop of color. We guess you could say it’s a perfect place for those Instagram shots. But, what’s more perfect than the picture is the taste of the handcrafted cup of coffee you receive.

You can tell that at Solid Coffee they have a passion for making coffee. It’s in the way the barista makes each cup  as if it was going up against other coffee in a competition.

And more and more coffee lovers are taking notice because each time we’ve gone to Solid Coffee, they’ve had a full house – mostly of students (it’s obviously a great place to study for all you college students out there), but quite a few come to hang out with their friends too.

On our first visit we tried the vanilla bean latte (a fan favorite) and the cortado. We were blown away by the taste of both and couldn’t control ourselves from snapping a dozen pictures, which kinda drew an audience from the people around us. The guy next to us even bought a cortado after seeing ours, but who could blame him? It was soooo good.

Another thing we love at Solid Coffee are the cute coasters on each table. It’s such a small detail, but it really makes Solid Coffee stand out in our minds. Pro tip: it makes for a great prop when you’re trying to get fancy and do overlay shots of your coffee, tea or food!

Speaking of food, if you’ve been following their Instagram (you should be following their Instagram), then you would have seen that they’re going to start serving grilled cheese sandwiches made with cheddar, provolone and mozzarella. It’ll be paired with none other than a tomato bisque that is just begging you to dip the grilled cheese sandwich into it. We’ll take two of those, please!

All in all, Solid Coffee Roasters, has a great atmosphere and vibe to it. The people who work there are super friendly (something that shouldn’t have to be mentioned, but we’ve all had the experience of a pretentious coffee shop, right?), the drinks are on point and worth every single penny and it’s a great space to work, catch up with friends or read a good book. You can definitely find us there (as long as we can find a seat haha…this place is hot and new to the people of Artesia and its surrounding areas) enjoying a cup of coffee and chatting with the awesome baristas. So, without sounding too cheesy – okay , what do we care, we’re cheeseballs – Solid Coffee Roasters is true to its namesake…it’s a solid place to grab coffee and unwind before or after your day begins.

Come by and check this place out for yourself and let us know what your favorite drink is at Solid Coffee! And feel free to use the hashtag #dailycoffeerun so we can look at all the pretty pictures of your coffee, too.
